Prince Harry has dropped his motive about the possibility of ever bringing his children back to the UK, according to one of his celebrity pals. The Duke of Sussex came back to the UK last week and stayed four days, attending various engagements linked to his charities.
One of them was the WellChild awards, of which the Duke has been a patron for 18 years. Also in attendance was singer Joss Stone, who had a catch-up with the Duke and introduced him to her three-month-old daughter, Nalima.
The singer spoke about her chat with the Duke and revealed how he spoke to her about his love for the spirit of “community” in his home country, as well as the education system in the UK compared to the US.
Ms Ross, who recently moved back to the UK after she left for the US, told Hello! magazine: “It was really sweet to see him after all these years. Harry was so lovely with Nalima – even though she slept through the whole thing!
“I will be sure to tell her that when she was two months old, a prince cooed over her and said she was beautiful.”
She then revealed: “He joked about me having four children, saying it’s ‘two too many,’ or maybe it wasn’t a joke!
“He also asked about how we were settling back in and was genuinely interested in our move home.
“He’s just very warm and down to earth, as always. Maybe Harry will move back too. That would be nice.”
The two spoke about her move back to Britain, with the singer saying: “He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children.
“It was nice to share that with him because it’s exactly why we felt drawn to come back – for the kids to grow up surrounded by family, friends, and a strong sense of belonging and most importantly in a safe environment.”
It comes shortly after the Duke made a major U-turn regarding bringing his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to the UK.
On his way to Ukraine last week after his visit to Britain, the Duke revealed that Archie and Lilibet’s return to the UK could be closer than we think.
He previously stated that he fears for his children’s safety when in the UK following his legal battle against the Home Office regarding his downgraded security in the country after his royal exit.
But last week, he told the Guardian about whether he would bring his children back to the UK: “I would. This week has definitely brought that closer.”
