MOSCOW, Jul 28 (APP):Ambassador, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, on Tuesday held an interactive Zoom session with a group of Pakistani students currently undertaking a two-week educational visit in Ivanovo, Russian Federation.
The delegation comprises ten students from Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) I-8/3, accompanied by their Principal, Dr. Muhammad Sajjad, and a faculty member. The students are participating in a language and cultural programme at the International School “Interdom” named after Elena Stasova in Ivanovo.
The online interaction was also attended by Director of Interdom, Olga Zyukina, who briefed the Ambassador on the students’ academic programme and cultural activities. She noted that, alongside Russian language classes, the students are actively engaging in cultural events and will also visit Moscow and other historic cities of Russia’s Golden Ring.
Speaking to the students in Russian, Ambassador Tirmizi commended their enthusiasm and encouraged them to make the most of this unique opportunity to strengthen their language skills, deepen their understanding of Russian culture, and serve as young ambassadors of Pakistan through their conduct and academic excellence.
The Ambassador also expressed his appreciation to Olga Zyukina and the Interdom administration for providing the students with a warm, enriching, and memorable educational experience.
The educational visit is part of the Government of Pakistan’s initiative to promote foreign language learning and international exposure among students, with the programme facilitated through the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Islamabad.
