Pakistan and India have qualified from group A for the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup being played in the United Arab Emirates. The remaining two spots from Group B will be decided tonight.

A crucial match is set to take place in Abu Dhabi tonight (Thursday), where Sri Lanka will face Afghanistan in a do-or-die encounter for the Afghans.

Afghanistan’s match against Sri Lanka is scheduled to begin at 7pm local time.

Afghanistan must win to stay in the tournament — a defeat will eliminate them from the Asia Cup.

A win for Afghanistan would secure their place in the Super Four stage, while a loss would see Sri Lanka and Bangladesh progress instead.

Afghanistan began their campaign with a dominant 94-run victory over Hong Kong. However, they narrowly lost their second match to Bangladesh by eight runs.
