The cast of Netflix’s upcoming series “Black Rabbit” walked the red carpet at its premiere in New York, speaking candidly about their hopes and excitement for the project.

The drama stars Jude Law as a New York club owner, Jake Friedken, alongside Jason Bateman as his troubled brother Vince. Created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, the series will debut on September 18.

Law praised the show’s authentic portrayal of the city. “It was the spirit of New York, a really authentic New York, looking at all the different slices of life people that work in the back of the kitchen, the front of house, the people that come to the restaurant, the people that want to rob the restaurant, the people that drive you to the restaurant and then at its heart, was this really powerful story of love,” he told Reuters.

Bateman, also known for roles in Ozark and comedies, said he relished the chance to explore a different character type.

“I don’t usually get to play the guy that’s made a bunch of terrible decisions, just sort of like medium-bad ones,” he admitted at the premiere.

The series described as a gritty and layered exploration of family, crime, and loyalty, marks a highly anticipated addition to Netflix’s fall slate.
