Gold prices climbed to another all-time high on Wednesday in the local and international markets, extending the upward streak.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs6,000 to settle at Rs376,700.
The rate of 10 grams also reached a historic peak of Rs322,959 after gaining Rs5,144.
On Tuesday, gold had remained stable at Rs370,700 per tola.
Globally, the yellow metal continued its rally, hitting a record $3,540 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a sharp increase of $60.
Meanwhile, silver prices also edged higher, with the per tola rate rising by Rs12 to reach Rs4,315.
