Brits will experience sunny spells and hot weather in just days, as weather maps have flashed orange, revealing the high temperatures that will soon hit England. Maps by WXCharts for September 20 show the hot weather dominating in the southeast of the country.

However, other regions, including the Midlands and East Anglia, will also welcome hotter conditions next week. Further up north, temperatures will remain cooler, ranging between the high-20s and low-10s throughout the day.

The maps, which use Metdesk data, forecast temperatures to hit up to 26C. This will be seen in Kent by 6 pm. While only Kent will welcome the hottest end of the range in temperatures, many regions, including Sussex, Greater London, and Warwickshire, will experience a high 25C or 24C, allowing residents there to bask in the hot weather too.

Further north, temperatures will fall slightly. Manchester will remain a balmy 22C, while Newcastle will see 16C temperatures by the early evening.

Conditions are meant to stay consistent throughout the day, and maps show that a large part of the country will remain dry. Very light rainfall is expected in Cumbria, indicated by the faint blue spot on the map. However, the rain should clear up by 6 pm.

The Met Office also suggests warmer weather will occur on September 20 in its long-range forecast for September 18 to September 27.

It states: “Temperatures likely around average early in this period and often feeling rather cool given unsettled conditions. Increased chance of some warmer spells later in the period.”

In the meantime, Brits should be aware that a yellow weather warning for wind is in place from Sunday, September 14 8pm until Monday, September 15 6pm. The Met Office warns of “strong and gusty winds” that could impact travel and interrupt power.
