Parts of a major motorway have been closed following a serious car crash. Motorists travelling on M5 are currently facing huge delays during rush-hour this morning.
Emergency services, including Devon and Cornwall Police, are at the scene of the smash.
A section of the motorway is shut in both directions between junction 27 (Tiverton) and junction 28 (Collumpton) in Devon following a crash on the southbound carriageway. Southbound traffic is currently backed up to junction 25 near Taunton in Somerset.
On the northbound side, queues stretch as far as junction 29, where the motorway connects with the A30 at Exeter. Diversions are active for drivers heading both north and south, but these are expected to cause considerable delays throughout the morning.
