The final medico-legal report in the killing of model and actress Humaira Asghar has been released, further complicating the mystery surrounding her death in Karachi’s Defence area.
According to the report, all of Humaira’s bones were found intact, and with several vital organs missing, the exact cause of death could not be determined.
The report confirmed the presence of blood and DNA traces on her clothing, but investigators noted that in the absence of a national blood and DNA databank in Pakistan, forensic evidence could not be matched or analysed further.
Police sources revealed that one of Humaira’s mobile phones remains missing, which they had hoped would provide vital clues and potentially change the direction of the investigation.
Investigators admitted the medico-legal report has raised more questions than answers, leaving the case shrouded in uncertainty.
