Princess Kate’s brother showed his support for his elder sister yesterday as she took part in the US state visit in Windsor. James Middleton, 38, was one of the many who commented on a photograph of The Princess of Wales, alongside her husband Prince William, in their state banquet attire on Wednesday.

In the photograph uploaded to Instagram, Kate, 43, was seen wearing a couture gown by British designer Phillipa Lepley with a full-length, hand-embroidered gold Chantilly lace evening coat over a silk crepe gown. She accompanied this with the Lover’s Knot tiara and earrings which once belonged to the late Queen.

Meanwhile, William was also dressed for the occasion in his smart formalwear. The caption of the photograph read: “Ready for The State Banquet.”

The photograph received over 14, 500 comments, with one of these being from Kate’s brother James.

In support of his older sister and future Queen, James commented: “Proud to be (British flag).”

This is not the first time James has commented on photographs uploaded by The Prince and Princess of Wales’ official social media accounts.

When the couple uploaded a photograph of their dog Orla to mark National Pet Day just months ago, James commented: “Beautiful in every way.”
