EA FC 26 is out now, but only in early access for owners of the Ultimate Edition.

Needless to say, the EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Edition costs more than the regular version, the latter of which launches on September 26.

The Ultimate Edition is currently available for £99.99 on PS5 and PS4, although Loaded customers (formerly CD Keys) can save £10 by purchasing discounted PlayStation Store credit.

The UK retailer is selling £100 of PlayStation Store Credit for just £89.99. That’s a 10% discount.

After purchasing a top-up card from Loaded, the retailer will send you a link with the code that can redeemed on the PlayStation Store.

Once you’ve added the credit to your PlayStation account, you can pick up the £99.99 Ultimate Edition, having only spent £89.99.

In addition to early access, the Ultimate Edition contains the Season 1 Premium Pass.

That’s on top of Ultimate Team 93+ OVR ICON Player Item for EA SPORTS FC 25, as well as 6000 FC Points over 2 months, an Ultimate Team Player Evolution Slot and lots of additional bonuses available in the Standard Edition.

As you can see from the trailer below, the new EA Sports FC game has been developed with help from the “community”.

The developer has taken on board the criticism aimed at EA FC 25 and used it to make what will hopefully be a vastly improved game.

One of the more interesting changes is the split between faster-paced gameplay and simulation-style action.

This comes in the form of Authentic and Competitive gameplay presets that alter the type of experience players can expect.

The new Competitive gameplay preset, for example, is said to be driven by “refined fundamentals, added consistency, and enhanced responsiveness”. Essentially this results in a faster-style of game that is made for Ultimate Team and Clubs.

The Authentic gameplay preset, on the other hand, delivers a slower and more realistic football experience that will be used in Career.

Needless to say, Electronic Arts has also made improvements to things like dribbling, tackling and goalkeeping.
